The Elizabethan Syngers is open to any musician committed to a high level of music making, preparation to the highest of standards, and great energy in performance.

For auditions; musicality, sight-singing, vowel production, memory and vocal agility are tested through the use of
musical examples, exercises and vocal scales. No prepared solo is
required. Auditions last approximately 15 minutes.

The Elizabethan Syngers perform in full madrigalia costume, with music memorized and for full days of events at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival as well as holiday performances. Regular rehearsals are Tuesday evenings May through September for the festival season and October through December for the holiday season.

The Elizabethan Syngers is community ensemble and does not offer compensation outside of admittance to the Minnesota Renaissance Fair. Access to or purchase of an approved madrigal costume is a necessity and can be found through our costume committee.
